“What important truth do very few people agree with you on?”
Zero to One by Peter Thiel
INTJ and ENTJ women are the best investments in the entire world right now. I’m doubling down on INTJ and ENTJ women this year. Here are some vignettes as to why I’m doing this.
Cerebral Valley Summit
I attended the inaugural Cerebral Valley Summit last year. This was the same conference where the AI deal of the year went down between Databricks + MosaicML. I asked everyone about their Myers Briggs type at the conference. The men either didn’t know or didn’t want to tell me. This is a common occurrence with men.
The women founders, investors, and heads of enginnering at the conference on the other hand were all transparent. All the women were INTJs and ENTJs except for three. It was at the this conference that a hypothesis I had coalesced in my mind.
My close friends (including INTJ and ENTJ women) would often ask me, “are there enough of them?” whenever I explained my hypothesis for INTJ Fund. I can now confidently answer with a resounding yes. I finally know where to look.
Why am I looking for INTJ women? Here are four people who provided initial inspiration. I will cover ENTJ women in a different essay.
The date is December 16th, 2019. I am at the final stage interviews for Snap Yellow Accelerator program. I meet Charli Cohen for the first time. Charli is a trailblazing fashion designer and entrepreneur with a pleasant British accent and a razor sharp wit. She is confident, thoughtful and has a great sense of humor.
My thoughts after Charli in successive order are: 1) She’s the only memorable person in the waiting room 2) I know for certain she’s getting into the program 3) I wish I had a fund so I could invest in her too.
While sitting by some couches, I recall suggesting to Charli, “Let’s stand near the food and drinks, everyone will come to us. It’ll save us the energy of walking up to people.”
“Sure. Let’s go.”
Leaving Snap’s offices I think to myself, “How do I find more people like Charli?”
I could make more money and have more fun at the same time if I found more people like Charli.
My friend Samia Liamani credits me with starting the current Myers Briggs craze in South Korea. People in South Korea often ask the Myers Briggs type of new people upon meeting them. It started on clubhouse and it started with me.
In the peak of clubhouse (from December 2020 to March 2021) I asked the same question to thousands of people: “Do you know your Myers Briggs type?” I moderated spaces for each of the 16 MBTI types.
I organized my clubhouse friends by MBTI and sex in late January 2021. The largest male group was “INTJ Men.” Next to them was “INTJ Women.” There was a single person: “Arielle Shnaidman.”
Arielle is authentic, sharp and has a talent with words. She enjoys matcha oat milk lattes and is also the best executive coach in the entire world. Arielle (like me) shares a disdain for humble bragging and name dropping. We found the same types of people obnoxious. This meant perfect alignment in curation of people.
Arielle was an ideal co-moderator. She took into accounts my strengths and I took into account hers. We co-moderated spaces for introverts and INTJ women. Usually co-moderators run into small conflicts over length, focus or curation. I had none with Arielle. I wasn’t sure how but I wanted to collaborate with Arielle more.
I could have more collaborations with perfect alignment if I found more people like Arielle.
Faezeh is an AI data engineer and self development podcaster based out of Toronto. She’s remarkably resilient and has one of the best growth mindsets of anyone I know. What makes Faezeh interesting is that I have never met her in person even though we speak regularly. This makes me confident in being able to maintain a productive connection with people similar to her even without proximity.
I often speak to Faezeh about personal growth, mental health, emerging technology and psychology. This something I found unique among xNTJ women. xNTJ men very often have an interest emerging and frontier technology. The interest in psychology and mental health is often a little less. I think this is because intuitive thinkers (xNTx) are a minority MBTI subtype for women. As a result, this leads them to be more self reflective than their male counterparts.
I could learn and talk about the things I found interesting all the time if I found more people like Faezeh.
Julia is an AI conversation designer and moonlights as the best DJ in Los Angeles. Julia is reflective and has great taste in people. I met Julia in the Spring of 2021 and we have been friends since. She sends me pdfs for exercises on intention setting and I give her book recommendations like “Atomic Habits.”
Julia is also the first person to reference the phrase “sustainable systems” to me. This lead to me thinking about sustainable social systems and sustainable productivity systems. This is an example of the concepts we discuss in our social outings.
I could have a more balanced and productive if I found more people like Julia.
Frontier Technologies
Charli, Arielle, Faezeh and Julia all have an interest in emerging and frontier technologies. I look forward to meeting more people like them and I finally know where to look.
Contact me at kenneth@intj.fund if you are an INTJ or ENTJ woman founder, investor or engineer or know someone who is. I’d love to learn more about you to understand how I can help you achieve exponential growth in your life.
If you know anyone that has characteristics similar to the four people I described, please share this essay with them and tell them to contact me.
